Project requirements:
Story Telling: Identity that military sim game fans can identify with, while maintaining the design polish consistent with the visual guidelines that Apple was establishing at the time.
UX/UI: Mobile software experience that carefully sits at the intersection of AR, city-building sim games, and location-based real world experiences.
Content: Military assets.
Execution:
Story Telling: Modern look and feel integrated with familiar military visuals.
UX/UI: Pioneering vertical layout unseen at the time. Usability as a city-building game was maintained even with a portrait mode dominant layout, while addressing the AR and location-based interaction needs.
Content: Military assets brightened and scaled to meet the mobile core gamer needs.
